This is Oh My Blog! A brand new monthly interview series featuring a whole host of fellow bloggers. Each month, we’ll be bringing you different themed posts showcasing the very best bloggers out there. This month, the questions are based on the fitting February topic of love!
This month, we’re meeting Michelle from What Mummy Thinks.
Tell us about yourself and your blog.
Hi! I’m Michelle, a thirty something Mummy to two. I’m a secondary school teacher as well as mummy and blogger and I’ve just started a little crafty business too. I blog over at What Mummy Thinks and set it up a few months after my first was born. I loved writing and while on maternity leave, I really felt like I still needed to write about something which led me to create my parenting and lifestyle blog.
What is your current relationship status?
I’m married. I met my husband 14 years ago and we’ve been married for 5 years.
Do you ever celebrate Valentine’s Day?
Not really. Our ‘relationship anniversary’ was always the 21st February and so we’ve always celebrated on that day instead. Although we buy a card and maybe buy an M&S meal now that we have our wedding anniversary, we still tend to celebrate the following week.
It’s your first date! Where do you go?
My ideal first date would be somewhere that we could have a walk around and get to know each other before having drinks or dinner somewhere. I’m not hugely fussy though!
What’s the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for you?
Taken me to Venice.
What is your favourite romantic film? Cheesier the better.
It has to be the Notebook
Spill the beans! Who’s your celebrity crush?
It was Paul Walker but probably Channing Tatum.
Flowers are pretty popular at this time of year. Do you like receiving them or do they really not float your boat?
Of course. I love flowers.
Do you have children? Do you want any (or any more)?
I have two children, my daughter is 4 and my son is coming up to two. I am absolutely done and happy with my world so no, no more children for me.
What would be (or was) your choice of song for your first dance at your wedding?
Our first dance song was Train – Drops of Jupiter.
Do you have any plans yet for Valentine’s Day 2017?
Raw oysters are pretty famous for being an aphrodisiac. Have you ever tried them?
No… this really doesn’t sound appealing to me in the slightest.
Imagining money’s no object, where would you go for a romantic getaway?
I’d love to go back to Maui, Hawaii more than anything.
What’s the best Valentine’s gift you’ve ever received?
I don’t really think I’ve had one… flowers maybe?
Finally, what is the number one most important thing you value in a relationship?
You can check out more from Michelle over at her wonderful blog and on social media.
